Weight must have been lost using the Weight Watchers POINTS® Plan or ProPoints® Plan.
Q -- The entry form asks for my goal weight and the date I reached goal but I'm not there yet. What do I do?
A -- All of the boxes on the Entry Form need to be completed in order for it to be submitted successfully. In this section, enter the date you are expected to reach goal and the weight you will be when you reach goal. Your expected goal date must be on or before the competition closes on 21 August 2011.
Q -- Can I enter the Healthy Life Awards if I do not attend meetings?

Q -- Can I enter the Healthy Life Awards if I am a Leader or MTM?
A -- No. Leaders and MTM, as company employees, are not eligible to enter. Leaders can enter the special Leader Healthy Life Awards competition and MTMs can enter the annual Excellence in Customer Service Awards. Entry details will be available on The Source website soon.
Volunteers (people who are not paid by Weight Watchers) are eligible to enter the awards.
Q -- Do I have to enter online?
A -- We would prefer you to enter online. We have built this amazing website just for you to make it easier to share your story. But, if you really don't want to enter online, ask your Leader for a hard copy form which will need to be posted back to us by the time the competition closes. Remember, entries must be received by 11:59pm on Sunday 21 August 2011.
Q -- How are the Healthy Life Awards different to Slimmer of the Year?
A -- Our prestigious Slimmer of the Year title is still a major part of this year's awards and we will be selecting a Slimmer of the Year in Australia and New Zealand as we have always done. The difference is that we have introduced new categories to broaden the relevance of the competition to the wider community. Read more about the categories below.
Q -- What are the categories?
Group Awards
A - Workplace of the Year - For Weight Watchers At Work companies that have demonstrated their commitment to creating a healthier workplace. There is a separate entry form for this category, available to download from this website or from your At Work consultant from May 16.
Family of the Year - This category is to recognise the lifestyle changes made to whole families. How have you changed and influenced your family’s lifestyle for the better since becoming a Weight Watchers member? Only one family entrant needs to be a Weight Watchers member to be eligible. You can enter this category through the main online form.
Individual Awards
Australian Slimmer of the Year/New Zealand Slimmer of the Year - These national awards are given to the Australian and New Zealand slimmer who most embodies the Weight Watchers values of living a healthy life by making changes to their eating, thinking and behaviour that will endure over the long term.
People’s Choice Award - The winner of the People's Choice Award will be the entrant who receives the highest number of online votes.
Inspiration Award - A Healthy Life Awards entrant with a truly inspirational story, who has shown their ability to inspire others and make a difference to the lives of people around them.
Q -- How do you judge entrants?
A -- Winners will be chosen on a number of elements including lifestyle change, health improvements, overall story, maintenance, weight loss and transformation.
Q -- When is the judging?
A -- This will commence as soon as entries close on August 21 2011. State judging for the Australian and New Zealand Slimmers of the Year will commence in mid September. National Judging Week for our five Australian finalists and New Zealand winner will take place in October.
Winners of the Workplace and Family of the Year categories will be announced at the awards ceremony in November. We will also be awarding up to five highly commended in each of these categories.
Q -- Do I have to enter the People's Choice Award?
A -- No. The People's Choice Award is entirely optional and participation will have no bearing on your success in the overall competition. The People's Choice Award is just another way for you to share your story with a wider audience, and inspire others to start on their journey to a healthy life. All the details for this award are available once you complete your online entry. From there you can decide whether or not you would like to take part. But remember, there are great prizes up for grabs!
